Have you ever wondered why children are so fascinated by mythical creatures? Mermaids, fairies, unicorns — these mythical creatures represent the naivete and simplicity of our childhoods, which usually take their departure once we reach adulthood, making way for greater and realistic issues such as personal finances, health and occasionally, golfing.
The reason why children are so captivated by the concept of fictitious characters is perhaps because these characters offer them a platform to imagine (and hope for) a world that is idealistic and beautiful, in contrast to the harsh and unforgiving reality that we are so familiar with. Much like the reason we advocate for victims of domestic abuse, children indulge in mythical creatures as they are the embodiment of empowerment in their eyes. In the past month, the PoPstrings Project has been working on creating customized fairy-tale themed anklets for a 10-year-old’s birthday party. The photographs below showcase some of our intricate and carefully-crafted anklets for each party guest.
As shared by the client, these anklets are meant to be used as return gifts for the guests at the birthday party, in hopes to show their appreciation for their party guests. This heavily aligns with our mission at the PoPstrings Project — to serve as a voice to advocate for pressing societal issues, as well as a platform to give back to the community. Here at PoPstrings Project, we value your needs; our products are customizable to your liking!
We would like to give a special shoutout to our client featured in this week’s blog post, HerRiseAbove, which provides a Business Essentials program for women to start or improve their home businesses.
