AMITY BRAIDS
As our signature braid, the Amity braid is one that we hold close to our hearts. In all simplicity, it is a basic technique a braider learns in her first class. From choosing the material and color to the actual braiding process - as she weaves each strand over the other, she gains confidence through practice to complete her maiden braid. Created by our braiders, as young as 9 years old, we celebrate their first steps in learning a skill, forming a bond with the community, and rebuilding their lives.
The PoPstrings Project is entirely run by volunteers which we are so ever grateful for.

I have bought for myself, given and been given jewellery from Popstrings, and I am a huge fan. I love that each piece is handmade, that the proceeds go to a great cause, and the little symbols you can attach to each piece - the lotus is my favourite. I’ve even had a necklace custom made and it turned out absolutely gorgeous. Popstrings is my go-to for affordable, meaningful gifts. And sometimes I just treat myself. I enjoy exploring the ever-changing collections – there’s always something new and beautiful to tempt me!
